Every KHAYT piece comes with lifetime repairs. As long as we're here, so is the promise.
Our promise
When you buy a piece from us, we're entering a quiet contract. We'll repair anything that goes wrong with how we made it, for as long as you wear it. Fair wear and tear on naturally-made cloth isn't a failure — it's the beginning of patina.
What we cover
- Loose or unravelling hems, cuffs, and seams.
- Lost or broken buttons, snaps, and ties.
- Small tears, snags, and moth holes.
- Belt loops, pocket linings, invisible mends.
- Re-pressing and re-blocking after storage.
What it costs
- Within the first year
- Complimentary on all repairs and return shipping.
- After the first year
- Repair work is at cost (usually 150–400 EGP). You cover shipping to us; we cover shipping back.
- Heirloom restoration
- Deep repairs on pieces aged more than ten years are quoted individually — we love these.
How to send
- Email care@khayt.house with a photo of the issue and, if possible, your order number.
- We'll reply within two working days with a return address and, if needed, a short quote.
- Pack the piece with a note. Ordinary post is fine — no special wrapping needed.
- Repairs typically take 7–14 working days. We'll send a photo before it ships back, so there are no surprises.
Alterations
We're also happy to shorten a hem, take in a waist, or add a pocket on pieces you already own. These are not covered free of charge, but the rate is what a good neighbourhood tailor would quote — never more.
A quiet request
If a piece no longer fits into your life — a child has outgrown it, a style doesn't suit anymore — consider passing it on before sending it to us. We're always happy to help you re-home a piece through our archive list.
