Every piece leaves the atelier folded by hand, wrapped in unbleached tissue, and tucked into a reusable cotton pouch. We try to ship within two working days of your order — sometimes we wait a day longer to finish a hem just right.

We ship from our atelier outside Fayoum. Delivery times are honest estimates — not race-to-the-door promises.

Pre-order pieces ship on the date noted on the product page — we'll always tell you before you pay if something is further out.

Rates & duties

  • Inside Egypt — a flat 900 EGP. Complimentary on orders over 10,000 EGP.
  • International — calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. Express options are available on request.
  • Duties & taxes — for most destinations, duties are paid on delivery by the recipient according to local rules. We're happy to quote a delivered-duty-paid price if you'd like to plan ahead — just email us before checkout.

Inside Egypt

We use small, local couriers wherever possible. Orders placed before 14:00 Cairo time on a working day usually go out the next morning. You can ask for weekend delivery in Cairo — we'll do our best.

International

Parcels travel with DHL, FedEx, or Aramex depending on destination. You will receive an email with your tracking number the moment the parcel leaves us.

If an address is in a region with restrictions on certain fibres (silk, wool), we may ask for extra information during customs — very rarely, we'll need to swap a piece for its nearest equivalent.

Our packaging

The reusable cotton pouch is yours to keep. We think of it as a little wardrobe for travel. The outer box is recycled kraft, the tissue is unbleached, the ribbon is a natural twine — every material can go back to the earth.

Tracking & changes

Need to change an address, combine orders, or delay a shipment? Email care@khayt.house within 12 hours of placing your order and we'll sort it.

If a parcel shows "delivered" and you haven't received it, please write to us within seven days — we'll open a case with the courier and either recover or replace the piece.
